This carefully handcrafted building celebrates the artisanal history of Clerkenwell with bespoke metal details and handmade faience blocks.

Large frameless glazing modernises the ground floor entrance and accentuates the faience colonnade. The rational faience grid repeats across the façade with an emphasis on verticality to give a sense of elegance. The windows are set back and give a human-scale proportion to the building.

The internal spaces are calm and uncluttered with underfloor services and hidden conduits throughout giving the spaces freedom, flexibility, and vision throughout the floors. Light and air fill the spaces through careful location of the circulation core and facilities.

Fashion house Alexander McQueen occupies this building as their London Headquarters.
